WELCOME TO COALWAY JUNIOR SCHOOL

On behalf of the children, staff, governors and myself, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our school. We are a vibrant, forward thinking school that is always open to challenges in order to make ourselves better. I am truly honoured to be the Head of Coalway Juniors in the beautiful Forest of Dean.

Choosing the right school for your child is a daunting experience and we understand the importance of trusting those who care for your children. Our staff are always willing to go the extra mile in order to provide the richest experiences for every child in their care. Their dedication and knowledge is of the highest order and this is reflected in how our children develop.

Our children are the product of our curriculum. We are creative in the construction of and delivery of lessons and topics. We encourage each pupil to challenge themselves in their exploration of knowledge and understanding which creates a resilience and thirst for more. As a school, we actively encourage wider opportunities for our children. Educational visits play a huge part in what we do- local walks, visits to national museums and historical sites of interest. In Years 5 and 6 our children get the opportunity to experience a national adventure centre as well as travelling to Paris for 5 days cumulating in a visit to Disneyland.

We are keen that all of our children are given equal opportunities to achieve and progress regardless of their background, gender or race.
