MFL

We study French at Coalway Junior School as our Modern Foreign Language. We use a scheme from Kapow which uses videos and audio tracks alongside activities to immerse the children in the language.  

We are in the process of forging links with the Coleford twinning committee and are hoping to make contact with a French school in the near future.  

The children in upper school travel to PGL in Paris every other year and although this has been postponed due to covid in recent years we are very excited to be returning to Paris this December.  

French as a language is used in many ways throughout the school day, answering the register in French or thinking of the date for example.  Our French lessons are very interactive lessons with group activities, songs and games to help the children learn the language. We use a whole class book to showcase these activities with photos and examples of the art work produced.
