Early Help

Early Help

Many families face difficulties at some time and targeted support is a way of working with them, so they can better manage the problems they are going through.

Early Help is about providing support to potentially vulnerable children, young people and their families as soon as problems begin to emerge.

Early Help targeted support services include:

  • Providing family support workers to work directly with children and their families
  • Triple P positive parenting programme
  • Family Group Conferencing (FGC) to help make decisions and plans for the care and support of a child

Early help is a voluntary service and referrals can be made by school staff or through parents/carers making a self-referral.
