To further our learning of local history and in line with our industrial revoluton topic, we have been out learning about the iron and tungsten industry by the local legends Robert and David Mushet.
Robert Mushet made significant contributions to metallurgy, particularly with the development of steel alloys, which improved steel strength and durability. His son, David Mushet, was also renowned for his innovations, notably in improving iron production processes. Their work laid foundational advancements in metalworking, which shaped industrial practices in the UK and worldwide.
