Our SEN Information report (see link below) details how we support our pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This forms part of the wider Gloucestershire Local Offer, which can be found at:
Our Local Offer Details
Children in our school will get support that is specific to their needs. This may be through adaptations made by the class teacher in lessons or to the school environment, by providing additional learning opportunities or through intervention programmes. The SENCo will work closely with the class teacher and other relevant staff, to plan and organise additional provision.
We currently have a wide range of interventions available in school, covering a range of needs, including:
- Writing (including spelling and handwriting)
- Motor skills (fine & gross motor)
- Speech and Language
Any intervention that your child receives is monitored and reviewed regularly, to ensure that it is helping your child to make progress. Your child may work as part of a small group or individually on an intervention, with teachers and/or teaching assistants.

Please note that Gloucestershire County Council and the Clinical Commissioning Group have published a three year strategy (2018-2021) outlining the county’s commitment to supporting children and young people with additional needs, which replaces the County's SEND strategy. This applies to the work of all professionals and practitioners; including those within school. Further information about this strategy can be found in the following document:
If you have any concerns regarding your child in relation to Special Educational Needs, please do not hesitate to speak to either your child’s class teacher or the school’s Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo), Mrs Dixon.
